Steps to get S9 Edge Panel

To use the Edge Panel on any android device, we will be using the app called Meteor Swipe – Edge sidebar launcher by Francisco Barroso (free/ pro version at $1.99). You can download the free version of the app directly from Google Play Store by clicking below:

When you are done with downloading and granting all the required permissions to the app, the edge panel gets activated on the right edge of your display. It has a wide range of features like multiple panels, support for apps, shortcuts, contacts and other actions, folders, floating widgets, themes and icon packs. Steps to add apps to the Edge Panel

  1. Open Meteor Swipe app.
  2. Toggle it on.
  3. Click on the ‘pencil icon’ to add or remove apps from the edge panel.
  4. Once you have clicked on the pencil icon, you will be taken to a different window with the “APPS” tab opened by default and the apps that are already in the edge panel displaying on the left side of your display.
  5. Click on the apps in the “APPS” tab to add them to the edge panel. In case you want to ‘change the position or icon’ or ‘remove’ the apps from the edge panel, simply click on the apps that are displayed on the left portion of your display and follow the simple instructions available there.

Steps to add contacts to the Edge Panel

  1. Open Meteor Swipe app.
  2. Toggle it on.
  3. Click on the ‘pencil icon’ to add or remove contacts from the edge panel.
  4. Once you have clicked on the pencil icon, you will be taken to a different window with the “APPS” tab opened by default.
  5. Click on “SHORTCUTS” tab available on the upper half of the display.
  6. Select ‘Direct Dial’. You will be inside your “Contacts” app now.
  7. Click on your desired contact to add them to the Edge Panel.
  8. In case you want to ‘change the position or icon’ or ‘remove’ the contact from the edge panel, follow the same steps as you did for apps.

Steps to add floating widgets to the Edge Panel

  1. Open Meteor Swipe app.
  2. Toggle it on.
  3. Click on the ‘pencil icon’ to add or remove floating widgets from the edge panel.
  4. Once you have clicked on the pencil icon, you will be taken to a different window with the “APPS” tab opened by default.
  5. Click on “OTHER” tab available on the upper half of the display.
  6. Select ‘Floating Widget’. All the available widgets will be displayed on your screen next.
  7. Click on the desired widget to add them to the Edge Panel.
  8. In case you want to ‘change the position or icon’ or ‘remove’ the widgets from the edge panel, follow the same steps as you did for apps and contacts.

Now, you will be able to use the Edge Screen by swiping from the right edge of your display.
